| 03.04.05 | OK so it made more sense than the movie... still though, you don't really read a book like this for the plot. you read it for the prose, and all of those wonderfully obtuse descriptors and bits of tough-nosed dialogue. Still, I was surprised to find not all of his writing smart and tight. Some of it is downright sloppy, but I think that's what gives it its charm. A good book to be sure. |
