| 09.15.10 | A small book with two long-ish short stories. As always, King's writing seems effortless and presents a strong voice. I liked both stories but found the second, titled "Morality" particularly distrubing. Maybe it's because i'm in a steady relationship now and therefore vulnerable to thoughts of said relationships failing but this one was pretty dirty in how quickly things fall apart and how little it takes for that to happen. Blockade Billy is less disturbing than a fun exercise in language and old-time baseball lingo. Both good stories though and a perfect antithesis to the Sookie books i've been going through. Next up is something a bit more substantial. |
