03.27.14 | Leatherface's personal account of the making and importance of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I found this to be greatly interesting and personably written. It had all the juicy details I wanted from a production standpoint and has inspired me to re-watch all the movies. And it's good to get some validation on Texas summer heat. It seems like a bunch of people who were born here act like it doesn't effect them but put them in an old farm house with no air conditioning for a few weeks and everyone loses their mind. Brutal heat down here. One day after work I'm going to have to walk over to Quick Hill Rd. and try to picture how it really was 30 years ago... so much has changed now but the road still sort of survives as one tiny stretch between an office complex and a business center. Anyway, great book. |
