| 09.20.15 | I wanted to read this before the movie came out, especially when I learned that it was screening a few days early during Fantastic Fest. As it turns out, I didn't have any trouble finishing it in time because it's really damn good. Weir explains science in a great understandable way and he funnels all of the technical detail through a character with wit. Consequently, this comes off like a great Crichton novel used to in that you feel like you're learning real stuff while reading a sci-fi story. I definitely got the sense of what it would be like to hang out on mars. I really liked this one. |
