| 10.05.06 | You'd think that since I've only read two of this guy's books that I wouldn't run into him re-using the same twists... but oh well. This was ok... largely just kind of page-turning comfort food but there's some nam stuff in here that's good and a really downer ending that's typically noirish. It's still less stylized than Ellroy and way less authentic than Pelecanos but oh well... |
