| 11.28.07 | Liked this one quite a bit. Tons of 70s movie references (aside from actual movies referenced, one guy's called Trouble Man and another character's named Al Adamson) but also with the crime and whatnot. Pelecanos uses the 76 bicentennial fireworks the same way he uses the MLK riots in Hard Revolution. Another slow burn but surprisingly deep character and realistic plot. Great stuff. |
